Animone pendant Porcelain, Silk, Cotton, Silver

From her studio at the Abbotsford Convent, Sari works with unusual combinations of materials to crate jewellery and objects. Combining skills from her background in funiture making and graphic design, Sari investigates the natural world and bio-medical themes with playfulness and a refined use of colour and form.

The artist said "The Animone pendant emerged from my recent travels though the truly bizarre and beatuiful Galapagos Islands. I was lucky enough to swim with sea lions, giant turtles and amongst coral reefs where I saw a huge variety of fish and the strange, colourful aquatic plant life that inspired my current body of work."
